Another thing I've noticed is that when going home after traveling, sims that were still at home will frequently ignore security settings on a computer. I haven't stopped to figure out each specific situation, but I know it does it when using a mirror to modify your sim's look. Another thing I've noticed is that when you have multiple sims in your household (I have 6 in mine), there are certain situations where it switches the active sim after the lot reloads.
